Social Season: Two Households Both Alike In Dignity (October 29th to November 1st 2026) - Manor House Groß Markow and Castle Poggelow
With your purchase you will receive a ticket for the English-language run of the Regency-Larp "Social Season: Two Households Both Alike In Dignity". The game will take place from October 29th to November 1st 2026, in Manor House Groß Markow (17168 Lelkendorf, Germany) and Castle Poggelow (17168 Schwasdorf, Germany). The ticket price includes accommodation in a room for max. 2 persons (single beds or double bed with two mattresses, shared bathroom and toilet on the same floor), food (vegetarian and/or vegan), drinks, a character designed by the organizers of the game and (on loan) a costume.
Social Season: Two Households Both Alike In Dignity is a larp event set in early 19th century England. The game is inspired by the works of Jane Austen and their film adaptations, as well as more recent works on this exciting era.
Paying in instalments
If you choose the option "down payment", the remaining ticket price has to be paid in two equal instalments of 100,- Euro each. The first instalment is due one month after the initial purchase and the second after two months. You will receive a separate payment form for this purpose.
Costume
For male roles, there will be a tailcoat, top hat and a tie (so you will have to bring your own trousers, shirt and vest), while female roles will each receive a dress and matching accessory. The costumes we provide will not be historically accurate, but are meant to look like you could be part of a historically inspired film wearing them.
Of course, we know that there are many Regency fans who own great costumes themselves. If you don't need a costume provided by us you can indicate that when you register and you will receive a discount on the participation price.
Gender and Age of the Role
When registering, you must specify whether you are purchasing a ticket for a male or female role. You must also indicate whether the role belongs to the younger generation or to the parent or grandparent generation. There is a limited number of characters in each category to ensure the balanced gender and generational ratio among the roles that is necessary for our concept. Of course, the gender and age of the roles do not have to match the actual gender or age of the participants.
Early arrival
If you're traveling a long way, it's nice not to be totally rushed and join the game at the last minute (or later). Besides, romantic games are often easier if you already know your fellow players a little bit. Therefore, we offer you the possibility to arrive on the evening of October 28th for a small extra charge. There will be no program organized by us on this evening and the following morning and only a simple catering.
Accessibility
The main entrance to the Groß Markow venue is accessible only via stairs. On the garden side of the building, there is a ramp for wheelchair users that leads to the first floor of the building (where most of the event in Groß Markow will take place). There is an wheelchair-accessible toilet on the first floor.
Inside both buildings, there are stairs and steps in various locations—these do not have elevators or ramps.
The outdoor areas of the venue are largely unlit.
During the game, there may be situations where we dim the lighting in certain areas of the venue for atmospheric reasons.
There are uneven surfaces both inside (old floorboards, worn stairs, slippery tiles) and outside (lawn, tree roots) the venue.
During the game, there may be both visual and auditory game information.
Refund policy
After purchasing your ticket, you have a fourteen-day right of cancellation. After this period has expired, the participation fee can generally no longer be refunded. The following applies up to one month before the event: If you should determine that you cannot attend the event, you can try to find a replacement participant. In this case, you will receive a full refund. We are happy to help with the search.
